FAQ

Why don’t you post daily?

I post on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.  Posting three times a week gives me more time to engage in the conversation and respond to comments.  Sign up for RSS or email delivery of this blog.  Then you can read posts and comments at your leisure.

Why another personal finance blog?

I believe I bring a different perspective to the topic (as does anyone who blogs about personal finance):  I’ve been totally debt-free, including mortgage debt, for over twenty years.  I have lived a cash-based lifestyle for nearly thirty years, through good economic times and recessions.  My wife and I have retired early on a combination of pension and savings.  We achieved financial independence without investing in the stock market.  For these reasons, I believe this blog will present a different slant on personal finance.

Why don’t you reveal your net worth?

It is no one’s business.  Besides, if I did reveal my net worth, many people wouldn’t believe it, anyway.
